EDC electronic diesel pump testing/repair info

Please note:  The most cost effective solution to many diesel pump problems is to have your own pump tested & repaired.  Some pumps listed bellow will need reprogramming to match the security settings on your vehicle, thus adding cost to having a secondhand pump fitted.  In general, I would always advise repair over replacement, it tends to work out cheaper in the long run.

Please note:  This type of spooling solenoid cannot be tested for function by measuring the internal coil resistance with an OHM meter.  They need to be mounted on a special test rig and pressured to over 150bar and driven and phased to prove function.  We are equipped here with the correct test rig to prove function before despatch.

VP30 - VP44 pulley timing.  I had to add this...  As several people have enquired.  We can put the floating pulley back on after they have removed the front pulley mounting bolt by mistake.  Yes we have jigs and pins in house, to do this without having to mount the pump on a test rig and spill it up!  Simple static timing!  We always recheck this "on bench" to confirm dynamic timing.

Warranty Note:  Due to the fragile nature of electronic spares and the need to fit them in the correct manner.  Our warranty for secondhand parts & diesel pumps is limited to 90 days (new parts fitted to used pumps 90days).  Should any component fail within 90days of purchase, we will be happy to replace or refund to the value of the part/pump.  Postage costs or any other expenses incurred are not included in this warranty.  No money will be refunded or parts replaced, until the part/pump in question has been returned to us for inspection.  If it is found that the part/pump has been fitted incorrectly, no refund/replacement will be given.  We are happy to take responsibility for the quality of parts/pumps supplied, but we are unable to take responsibility for your workmanship or mis-diagnosis.

New pumps and injectors are covered by a full one year warranty.  Postage costs or any other expenses incurred are not included in this warranty.  No money will be refunded or parts replaced, until the part/pump in question has been returned to us for inspection.  If it is found that the part/pump has been fitted incorrectly, no refund/replacement will be given.  We are happy to take responsibility for the quality of parts/pumps supplied, but we are unable to take responsibility for your workmanship or mis-diagnosis.
